Ghana Premier League: “Nations FC will fight for the ultimate” – Kassim Mingle

Head coach of Nations FC, Kasim Mingle-Ocansey is not leaving a stone unturned in his quest to lead his club to the Ghana Premier League title.

The Kumasi based club opened the 2025/26 top flight campaign with a 2-1 win, coming from a goal down to beat returnees, All Blacks at home.

The team came close to clinching the title last season but missed out after dropping points in the final stretch of games.

Nations wants to be crowned champions

This season, Coach Ocansey insists that his team has no plan to simply compete but wants to be crowned champions at the end of the campaign.

“We are preparing to go for the ultimate. No one comes to fight to say I’m going to lose. It’s the title every team is playing for. We are not playing for playing sake. We are targeting the ultimate,” Kassim Mingle Ocansey told journalists in a post-match interview after his side defeated Swedru All Blacks in Week 1.

Nations FC are now preparing for a journey to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park to face former champions, Aduana Stars in Week Two of the new league season.
