The former Accra Lions centre-back has ruled out any form of pressure when they go against Vision FC in the second game at the Tarkwa TnA Park on Friday, September 19.
“At this point in time, there is nothing like pressure [on me] because at this stage of the league, I have played for a while and I’ve been in the game for some time so I know how it is.
“[My debut game] helps me push my confidence and it also helps the club to come up with [a] different mindset.
“Right I am playing and as I am playing the more I am building confidence in myself and so I know what I am capable of doing.”
The 25-year-old has received rave reviews from head coach, Tanko, a manager he worked with at t Accra Lions before he traveled to play in China with Shanghai Jiading.
“Jacob [Mensah] is a very good player, I was with him at Accra Lions before he traveled to China and definitely I know we are going to lose Nurudeen [Abdulai] so I had to look for the replacements. It is not a coincidence, it’s a process that we worked for through the training camp so I hope that it will continue like that.”
