Ghana Premier League: Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko reacts to whitewashing of Vision FC

Head coach of Medeama SC, Ibrahim Tanko has reacted to their emphatic victory against Vision FC in match day two of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.

The Yellow and Mauve dispatched Vision FC by 4-0 at the Tarkwa TnA Park on Friday, September 19, a win that took them to six points from their opening two matches.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko praised his players for executing the game plan to perfection, stressing that his side deserved the three points.

“Today we did everything right and we have our three points. We had to concentrate throughout the 90 minutes, at some point we dropped energy and it’s not good,” he said.

“We have to continue working hard because the season is still young. I said it at the beginning of the season. We are one of the teams that can win the league, but we have a lot of work to do.”

Medeama SC remain top of the Ghana Premier League standings with six points and six goals after beating Young Apostles by 2-0 in their season opener. Up next for the Yellow and Mauve outfit, they will take on Karela United in Week 3.
