Paul Onuachu goal secures Trabzonspor draw against Gaziantep

Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu was on target for Turkish side Trabzonspor, who came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Gaziantep in their Turkish Super Lig clash at the Papara Park on Saturday.

Gaziantep had taken the lead in the first half through Kévin Rodrigues, but Onuachu restored level terms in the match for the hosts in the 70th minute.

The Nigerian international latched onto a precise long ball from Manchester United loanee and Cameroon goalkeeper André Onana, before chipping the goalkeeper to level the contest. This goal brings Onuachu’s tally to three goals in six league appearances this season.

Since sealing a permanent switch to Turkey after a difficult spell in England, the striker has also scored against Kocaelispor and Samsunspor. The draw puts Trabzonspor in fourth place on the league table, four points adrift of leaders Galatasaray, who have played a game less. They next face Karagumruk away from home next Saturday.
