The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially confirmed the date and venue for the 2025 CAF Super Cup, setting up a thrilling clash between Pyramids FC of Egypt and RS Berkane of Morocco.
The one-off encounter will be held on October 18, 2025, at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo, with Pyramids hosting the game as winners of the CAF Champions League.
CAF Champions League Final (2025):
Pyramids FC claimed their maiden Champions League crown without losing in two final games. After securing a 1-1 draw away in Pretoria against Mamelodi Sundowns, the Egyptian side triumphed 2-1 in Cairo, sealing a 3-2 aggregate victory to lift Africa’s most prestigious club trophy.
CAF Confederation Cup Final (2025):
RS Berkane once again showed their strength in continental competition, clinching their third Confederation Cup title. The Moroccan giants defeated Simba SC of Tanzania 3-1 on aggregate, with a commanding 2-0 win at home in Berkane before holding Simba to a 1-1 draw in Zanzibar.
This will not be the first time Pyramids and RS Berkane clash for continental silverware. Their most notable meeting came in the 2020 CAF Confederation Cup Final, where RS Berkane edged Pyramids with a 1-0 victory in Rabat, denying the Egyptian side their first African title at the time.
That result gave Berkane the edge in the rivalry, but the upcoming Super Cup in Cairo offers Pyramids a golden chance at redemption—this time in front of their home supporters.
