Egyptian midfielder Sam Morsy parts ways with Kuwait SC after only 2 months by mutual consent

Qatari channel Al-Kass has reported a surprising development regarding Egyptian midfielder Sam Morsy, who recently joined Kuwait SC during the summer transfer window.

According to the report, the club has decided to terminate Morsy’s contract by mutual consent, though no official reason has been given for the decision.

Sam Morsy moved to Kuwait SC earlier this summer from English side Ipswich Town, embarking on a new chapter in the Kuwaiti Premier League. However, his stint was cut short after only a brief spell with the team.

The report also states that Kuwait SC are now actively seeking a new foreign signing to reinforce their midfield for the remainder of the season.

The 34-year-old Egyptian midfielder was sent off in his last appearance for the club against Al-Arabi, receiving a straight red card in the 30th minute following a heavy challenge.

Sam Morsy’s long career in English football:

Morsy’s career spans 17 years in English football, having started at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ academy before representing several clubs across the lower divisions. He eventually achieved the milestone of playing in the Premier League last season with Ipswich Town before making the move to the Gulf region.
