KCCA FC unveil squad ahead of 2025-26 Uganda Premier League season

Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC have officially confirmed their squad and shirt numbers for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign. The announcement was made on Monday, 22nd September as the Kasasiro Boys prepare to launch another push for silverware.

The club was among the busiest in the concluded transfer window, securing seven new signings: goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, midfielder Alpha Thierry Ssali, forward Ivan Ahimbisibwe, attacker Rogers Mugisha, winger Lazaro Muhindo, defender Herbert Achayi, and centre-back Enock Walusimbi.

Among the shirt allocations:

Achayi takes over the No. 2 jersey, previously worn by Mustafa Mujuzi (now at UPPC FC). Returning goalkeeper Lukwago will wear No. 12. Walusimbi is assigned No. 15, while Mugisha picks up No. 14, formerly worn by Bright Anukani. Alpha Ssali takes the No. 8 jersey, with Ahimbisibwe wearing No. 11, last donned by Brazilian Joao Esteves Cardoso Gabriel. Gabriel himself now switches to No. 7, a number vacated by former captain Julius Poloto, who also moved to UPPC FC.

Muhindo, who joined from Kitara FC, has been handed No. 27, previously occupied by Usama Arafat before his move to Vipers SC.

With co-coaches Brian Ssenyondo and Jackson Magera at the helm, KCCA FC will be hoping to end their title drought and reclaim their place at the summit of Ugandan football. The Kasasiro Boys kick off their campaign on Friday, 26th September, with a tricky away fixture against Kitara FC.
