Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Khama Billiat has reclaimed his place in the Zimbabwe’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in October.

The Warriors host rivals South Africa on October 10 before taking on Lesotho three days later in Group C. The Scottland FC star missed the Warriors back-to-back qualifying games against Benin and Rwanda due to an injury.
Now the former Mamelodi Sundowns’ fan favourite is back on his feet, and is set to contribute to Zimbabwe’s cause in the remaining academic games.
Michael Nees’ charges stand no chance of securing a place at the World Cup finals. They lost 1-0 in Benin and by a similar margin at home to the Rwandans in September.
With Billiat available alongside another veteran Knowledge Musona, the German coach has a deep pool of experienced players at his disposal.
The squad also comprises England-based Tawanda Chirekwa and his Wolverhampton Wanderers’ team-mate Marshall Munetsi, joining skipper Marvelous Nakamba from lower league outfit Luton FC.
