Medeama SC will return home looking for a third win on Sunday against a high-flying Nations FC in Ghana Premier League round 4.
The Mauve and Yellow began the 2025/26 domestic topflight campaign on a good note, recording two straight wins against Young Apostles and Vision FC.
The two-time Ghana FA Cup holders were however jolted in week three, suffering a 1-0 loss against Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
Head coach of the club, Ibrahim Tanko has targeted all three points to help them stay in touch with the top four.
“We are playing at home and like always, we want to create chances, we want to score, we want to keep a clean sheet,” Ibrahim Tanko told MEDi TV.
“Nations is a very good team with a very good coach behind them and we played them at the Nsenkyire Cup so definitely we know something about them.
“It’s not going to be easy like I said but we are playing at home and we want the three points, all the three points are very important and it doesn’t matter the team you are playing and playing at home you need the three points so this is what we are working on for the weekend.
The round four fixtures began on Friday, September 3 with Hearts of Oak clawing a point from Bechem United after a goalless draw.
Reigning champions, Gold Stars had to dig deep to collect all three points with a 1-0 win at All Blacks on Saturday, September 4.
