U-17 Women’s World Cup – Moses Aduku visit Nigeria U-17 camp ahead of tournament

Head coach of Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, Moses Aduku, paid a visit to the Flamingos’ camp in as they prepare to represent Nigeria at the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

Aduku who stoped by the Flamingo’s camp in Abuja on Monday, encouraged the players to stay focused and carry the spirit of excellence.

Speaking to the team, the Falconets’ boss urged the players to be confident in their abilities as they have already put in the work to get to where they are now.

“You’ve worked hard to get to this point, now go out there and make yourselves and Nigeria proud,” he told the players. Play with confidence, discipline, and the same hunger that has brought you this far.”

Nigeria set to depart for Morocco on October 8

He commended the technical crew for the team’s impressive build-up, which has seen the Flamingos win all ten of their preparatory matches, scoring 44 goals without conceding any.

Also visiting the team was Ameenu Mohammed, NFF Referee Assessor and Special Assistant to the NFF General Secretary, who helped explain the importance of knowing the rule of the game

“A good player must not only play well but also understand the rules. Knowing the laws of the game gives you an edge and helps you make better decisions on the field.”

The Flamingos are set to depart Nigeria on October 8 via Royal Air Maroc for Morocco.

Nigeria, drawn in Group D, will open their World Cup campaign against Canada on October 19, before facing France on October 22 and wrapping up the group stage against Samoa on October 25.
