Siwelele FC coach Seema outlines plan for FIFA international break

South Africa’s top-flight league team Siwelele FC’s coach Lehlohonolo Seema has outlined his plans for the FIFA international break.

The Bloemfontein-based team will go into the international break while smarting from a 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates on Saturday in a Carling Knockout cup.

Siwelele gave a good account of themselves, keeping the Buccaneers at bay for the better part of the round-of-16 game. The minnows were, however, undone by Mbekezeli Mbokazi’s 80th minute stunner at the FNB Stadium.

What impresses Seema the most about Siwelele FC

Despite the defeat, Seema picked a lot of positives from his players’ application and how newcomers are gelling with the rest.

“We showed that we are a team that is improving,” Seema told SuperSport Television. “We are a team that is fighting and that is starting to work together. The chances that we got, it is just a matter of time, it will work. We welcome this FIFA break. We will go and continue to work hard. Remember this team is five months old.”

The coach has welcomed the break viewing it as an opportunity to fine-tine his squad which is still under construction. Siwelele have signed new players such as Zakhele Lepasa, Samkelo Zwane, Kegan Johannes and Happy Mashiane.
