URA FC have received a boost with goalkeeper Derrick Ochan returning to training after weeks on the sidelines nursing an injury.
Ochan had been out with a grade two partial tear of the rectus femoris muscle in his mid-thigh — an injury that ruled him out of the FUFA Super 8 tournament and the opening Uganda Premier League fixtures against BUL FC and NEC FC.
“The gloves are back on! Ochan Derrick returns to the turf. Welcome back, Moja,” URA FC announced as the custodian resumed training with the rest of the squad.
Before joining the tax collectors, Ochan featured for Vipers SC, Police FC, and KCCA FC.
In another development, the club has confirmed that defender James Begisa Penza, who suffered a head collision in stoppage time during the NEC FC match, has been discharged from hospital and is now out of danger.
Begisa sustained a forehead concussion with a visible dent and received immediate on-field medical attention before being taken for further tests, including a brain CT scan.
He is currently recuperating at home under close medical supervision to ensure a complete recovery.
