A gang stormed MBC’s head office in Blantyre and forced Kasakula to go on air and apologize for having been critical of Malawi president Peter Mutharika when he was then leading opposition party Democratic Progressive Party, which eventually won the September 16 2025 elections.
Police moved in swiftly to arrest the suspects Mwamadi and his Mighty Wanderers counterpart Yona Malunga for attacking Kasakula.
In a reaction via a statement, Bullets released a statement, saying they had suspended Mwamadi to pave the way for the law to take its course on the matter.
“This follows reports of his alleged involvement in a recent incident currently under police investigation, which has attracted widespread public concern,” the statement reads.
“While the matter remains under investigation by the relevant law enforcement authorities, the club finds it appropriate to suspend Mr Mwamadi from his duties to allow for due process and to protect the integrity, values and reputation of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club.”
Meanwhile, the Super League leaders have appointed Chingeni Gumbala Kadammanja as acting national supporters’ chairperson.
