Nigeria men’s senior national team, Super Eagles are reportedly had their first training on Sunday evening after landing in Uyo in the same, they prepare for Tuesday’s final 2026 World Cup qualifying showdown against The Cheetahs of Benin Republic.
The training was held behind closed doors, comes after Coach Eric Chelle side, were forced to sleep in Luanda, Angola after the windshield of the aircraft flying them from South Africa cracked in mid-air.
The training opened by 5pm, which is also the kick-off time for the World Cup qualifier against the Cheetahs of Benin.
Benin top of the Group C standings with 17 points from nine matches, while Nigeria are third on 14 points.
