The StarTimes Uganda Premier League match day three promises fireworks this Friday with two thrilling fixtures lined up in Mbarara and Kampala.
At Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara City FC will be seeking their first home victory of the season when they welcome BUL FC in the early kickoff at 4:00PM. The Ankole Lions fell 1-0 to UPDF in their opening fixture and will be eager to bounce back in front of their fans.
However, they face a confident BUL FC side that began their campaign on a winning note, edging Maroons FC 1-0. The visitors will aim to maintain their perfect start as they target top spot early in the season.
Later under the Nakivubo floodlights, the iconic Hamz Stadium will host the much-anticipated URA FC versus Express FC derby at 8:00PM, live on Sanyuka Prime.
Both sides share the same home ground, adding extra spice to an already heated encounter. The Tax Collectors are still searching for their first win of the campaign after back-to-back stalemates against BUL and NEC.
On the other hand, Express FC will be eager to respond positively following their 2-1 defeat to Police FC in their previous outing.
URA will count on home support and recent dominance at Nakivubo, having beaten UPDF 1-0 in their first appearance at the refurbished venue. A victory tonight could propel them closer to the top four.
Action continues on Saturday, 18th October, with NEC FC hosting Police FC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo under the floodlights (8:00PM, live on FUFA TV and Sanyuka Prime).
The clash between Calvary FC and Vipers SC at Midigo P/S Ground, Yumbe has been postponed.
