Ghana Premier League: Christopher Ennin attributes poor concentration to Medeama draw

Head coach of Samartex Christopher Ennin has attributed poor concentration to their Ghana Premier League 1-1 draw at Medeama on Saturday.

The Timber giants struck first through long ranger from the centre circle by Awuah Dramani in the 37th minute separating the two sides into the first half break.

The Tarkwa TnA Park however erupted with joy when Nana Kofi Babil latched on to the ball in the penalty box to snatch a late winner for the Mauve and Yellow.

Samartex coach, Christopher was left distraught at the late equalizer by Medeama citing lack of concentration from his charges.

Samartex gave the game away easily

“It’s quite a good game as you can see [but] unfortunately we just gave the game out in the 83rd minute so I think we have to still go and work since are playing away I think we have to go and work and learn to hold such pressure when we go away,” Christopher Ennin said.

“I think lack of concentration because I was expecting them to up their game and stop sitting because you could see I was shouting at them that they shouldn’t sit but you know the mentality of players sometimes when it gets to this dying minutes they try to defend the goal so I think that was what caused the whole thing.”

Samartex per the drawn game have now collected an impressive ten points from five matches heading into week seven against Hohoe United.
