Malawi’s top-flight league out Blue Eagles FC have achieved bizarre statistical milestone.
The Lilongwe-based club has found favour with the figure of seven—for good and bad reasons in the TNM Super League.
After losing to Mighty Wanderers FC at home on Wednesday, Eagles sit in the seventh place after posting seven wins, registering seven defeats and seven draws.
The Malawi Police Service-owned club has collected 28 points from 21 league matches. FCB Big Bullets lead the log table with 49 points from 20 games.
The team has since spotted this coincide and looked at its positive side. “Not bad! 7 wins. 7 draws. 7 losses. 7th on the log. That’s not luck – that’s Quad 7 Magic!,” Eagles wrote on its Facebook page.
The coincidence is certainly bound to chance on Saturday when the cops travel to Blantyre to face rookies Ekhaya FC.
