National Women’s Soccer League, NWSL, side Houston Dash have congratulated Nigerian international Michelle Alozie following her nomination to the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World X1.
Alozie was among the 26 players, who made the shortlist. Houston Dash celebrated the Nigeria international with a short message on their official Instagram page.

The 28-year-old impressed for Nigeria at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco which the right-back was named in the Team of the Tournament alongside her teammates, Rasheedat Ajibade and Esther Okoronkwo.
Alozie is one of these Africans nominated in 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World shortlist as Moroccan midfielder Ghizlane Chebbak who plays for Spanish club Badalona and Zambia’s Barbra Banda of Orlando Pride.
The 26-player shortlist for the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World X1 nominated goalkeepers are Ann-Katrin Berger (Gotham/Germany), Mary Earps (Paris Saint-Germain/England), and Hannah Hampton (Chelsea/England).
Meanwhile defenders’ shortlist includes, Ona Batlle (Barcelona/Spain), Millie Bright (Chelsea/England), Lucy Bronze (Chelsea/England), Olga Carmona (Real Madrid & Paris Saint-Germain/Spain), Ellie Carpenter (Lyon & Chelsea/Australia), Alex Greenwood (Manchester City/England), and Leah Williamson (Arsenal/England).
The midfielders nominated are Aitana Bonmatí (Barcelona/Spain), Debinha (Kansas City Current/Brazil), Patricia Guijarro (Barcelona/Spain), Vicky López (Barcelona/Spain), Alexia Putellas (Barcelona/Spain), Ella Toone (Manchester United/England), and Keira Walsh (Barcelona & Chelsea/England). The forwards’ list features Michelle Agyemang (Arsenal & Brighton/England), Linda Caicedo (Real Madrid/Colombia), Athenea del Castillo (Real Madrid/Spain), Chloe Kelly (Manchester City & Arsenal/England), Marta (Orlando Pride/Brazil), and Alessia Russo (Arsenal/England).
