Bechem United’s quest to boost their points will be put to the test when they host Nations FC in week eight of Ghana Premier League at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Friday.
The Hunters have collected a paltry five points from a possible 21 in seven league matches this campaign under the guidance of coach Desmond Botchway.
The 2016 Ghana FA Cup winners are bent on claiming all three points and captain of the club, Augustine Okrah has expressed his determination to help the team chalk that result.
“I think what we can do to encourage ourselves is to be there for each other. We have new players and they are doing well. We are preparing well for our next game and we are working hard to get a good result on Friday. I hope by the Grace of God we will do our best to get the three points for Bechem United,” Okrah told Bechem United TV.
Nations FC on the other hand come into the game with renewed energy, having appointed experienced coach Stephen Frimpong Manso as Kassim Mingle Ocansey’s replacement.
Frimpong Manso led Gold Stars to the Ghana Premier League title last season before leading them to the first 2-0 loss against Algeria’s JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League before his sack.
The Ghana Premier League Week 8 fixture between Bechem United and Nations FC is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Stadium. Nations FC only lead Bechem United by three points on the league table and will be aiming for a win as well.
