Liverpool returned to form with an important 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the tenth round of the Premier League on Saturday, ending their four-game losing streak in the competition.

The Reds had endured a difficult spell with defeats against Crystal Palace, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Brentford, but they bounced back at Anfield thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch.

Salah opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time after capitalizing on a poor clearance from Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, firing home with his first touch to give Liverpool a lead before the break.

In the 58th minute, Gravenberch doubled the advantage when his effort deflected off Pau Torres and found the back of the net, sealing all three points for Arne Slot’s side.

It was Mohamed Salah’s second consecutive Premier League match on the scoresheet, having also netted in the previous round against Brentford.

With this victory, Liverpool moved up to 18 points, climbing to third place in the Premier League table, while Aston Villa remained on 15 points in 11th position.

The win comes as a timely boost for Liverpool, who will be eager to maintain momentum and keep pressure on the league leaders in the coming weeks.
