Botola Pro: Maghreb Fez crushes OCS to remain top

Maghreb Fez remained leaders in Morocco’s Botola Pro on Sunday after dominating Olympique de Safi by a 4-0 score to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2025-26 season.

Led by Spanish coach Pablo Franco, surprise leaders MAS harassed and constantly pressed the visitors at the Stade Hassan II and finally got their reward at the end of the first half. Soulyman Allouch got on the end of a brilliant pass from Adam Brika and finished past OCS goalkeeper Hamza Hamiani.

Allouch added his second goal close to the hour mark and former Raja Casablanca forward Soufiane Benjdida then scored twice in the final fifteen minutes to complete a comprehensive victory.

MAS are one point ahead of both AS FAR Rabat and Wydad Casablanca, both of whom also won on Sunday. AS FAR thumped Difaa El Jadida by the same score as MAS with Youssef El Fahli scoring twice in the 4-0 win.

The Royal Army club have now scored ten goals in their last three competitive matches while conceding zero goals. With a place in the CAF Champions League group stage secure and results going their way on all fronts, AS FAR are ready for the upcoming Rabat derby against local rivals Fath Union Sport (FUS) on Thursday.

After playing eternal rivals Raja to a 0-0 draw in the Casablanca Derby on Wednesday, Wydad showed no ill effects on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over IR Tanger. Hamza Hannouri and Walid Nassi scored in the first half for a routine victory for the hosts, who are showing good form after a substantial rebuilding project ahead of the ongoing campaign.

The Botola Pro continues on Tuesday with Raja Casablanca in action while Morocco’s CAF club representatives will also play midweek fixtures. RS Berkane, Wydad and OCS will play on Wednesday before Thursday is saved for the Rabat Derby between FUS and AS FAR.
