Dusan Stojanović unveiled to replace Ndayiragije at Kenya Police FC

Kenya Police FC have acquired the services of Serbian coach Dusan Stojanović following the departure of Etienne Ndayiragije.

Ndayiragije left his role after he failed to guide the law enforcers into the group stages of the CAF Champions League. After qualifying to the second preliminary round, Police failed to beat Sudanese giants Al-Hilal Omdurman over two legs.

The first leg in Nairobi ended in a 1-0 defeat before losing the return leg 3-1 in Sudan. Police left the stage on a 4-1 aggregate defeat. Police have now confirmed the arrival of Stojanović, who boasts relative coaching experience in Africa, having tutored in Uganda where he steered SC Villa to their 17th league title in 2023-24.

“Coach Dusan Stojanović has been appointed as the new Head Coach of the team,” read a statement released by Police.”He officially signed his contract in the presence of the Club Chairman and Secretary General.”

Stojanović, who only joined the club last year, guided Villa to winning the 2023/2024 Uganda Premier League title again in 20 years.

He was in charge of the team in their recent participation in the regional Cecafa Dar Port Kagame Cup in Tanzania, where they failed to qualify for the knockout stage after picking one win and drawing twice.
