Head coach of Hohoe United, Tijani Bashiru has reacted to his side’s nerve-wracking encounter against Medeama SC in their week eight fixture on Saturday.
Hohoe United stunned Medeama in the first half with a quick break, holding on to the 1-0 advantage into the half time break at the Hohoe Stadium.
Medeama however wrestled control from the newly promoted club and their incessant pressure paid off in the second half when they found the equaliser through the boot of Abdul Salam.
Head coach of Hohoe United, Tijani Bashiru has admitted that, the technical team needs to work on their defensive lapses in their subsequent games.
“We played against a complete team, you know they have a lot of experienced players so I think my boys really deserve the credit, they did so well but I think we have a lot to learn especially in our defence, we have to work on that,” Tijani Bashiru said.
“I think we have to change the plan but don’t forget we are babies and we are playing with our fathers but for me I’s very happy with the performance of the boys although that wasn’t the score line that we wanted but I think I am cool but we have to go back and work on our defence.
Hohoe United have collected nine points from eight matches this campaign and are seated in 10th on the league log. The league standing changed after match day eight as Aduana climbed to the top with a 1-0 win at Eleven Wonders on Sunday.
