Simy comes through again with match winner for Al Orobah

Saudi First Division League top scorer Simy Nwankwo produced another match-winning moment for Al Orobah on Monday with a late goal in their 2-1 victory at Al Jabalain.

The giant Nigerian striker got on the end of a cross from Ayman Al Hujaili in the 90th minute to break the deadlock and score his 11th goal of the season. His remarkable scoring rate in the Saudi second tier continues with 11 goals in 7 matches since joining Orobah.

The club currently sit in third place through 7 rounds with 16 points, one point back of league leaders Al Ula. Simy has now scored 11 of Orobah’s 16 goals so far this season.

Monday’s match winner comes after the former Crotone star scored a hat-trick in a 3-3 draw against Al Diriyah last Tuesday. With the exception of his debut which came as a substitute, the striker has scored in every match since joining his current club who are looking to bounce back into the Saudi Pro League after suffering relegation last season.

With five wins in their last six league matches, the club based in northwest Saudi Arabia will look to continue their winning ways on Saturday when they clash with leaders Al Ula.
