Nigeria women football league (NWFL) side Osun babes are reportedly set to announce the appointment of Nigeria under 17 women’s coach, Bankole Olowookere as the new head coach of the club in the upcoming 2025-26 season.

This comes just days after the Omoluabi Babes reshuffled their technical and backroom staff ahead of the kickoff dare

According to reports the appointment is expected to bring experience factor to the team as Olowookere is no stranger to the NWFL haven coached Naija Ratels.

He also led Nigeria’s Flamingos to a historic bronze medal in the 2022 FIFA U17 women’s world despite fail to pass the group stage in the 2025 edition.

A date for his official unveiling is yet to be announced by the club.

The 2025-26 NWFL season kicks off on Wednesday 26th November as Osun babes go away to face Dannaz Ladies in their first group B match.
