The FIFA Transfer Ban Portal has officially confirmed a new registration ban on Egyptian club Zamalek SC due to outstanding financial obligations the club has failed to settle in recent months.
According to FIFA’s announcement, the latest sanction against Zamalek was issued on November 3, citing “multiple unresolved cases” without revealing specific details about the disputes involved.
As stated on FIFA’s platform, the ban will remain in effect until all pending cases are resolved and the club fulfills its outstanding commitments to the parties concerned.
This new restriction adds to Zamalek’s struggles, which have seen the club face repeated disciplinary measures from FIFA over delayed payments to former players and staff.
Despite the setback, the White Knights continue their preparations for a crucial encounter against Pyramids FC in the Egyptian Super Cup semifinal, scheduled for Thursday, November 6.
