CAFCC: Siwale backs ZESCO United to progress to quarterfinals

Zambia Super League outfit ZESCO United coach Emmanuel Siwale has set his sights on reaching the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.

ZESCO were drawn into Group D alongside Egyptian giants Zamalek SC and Al Masry SC, as well as South African side Kaizer Chiefs.

ZESCO United looking forward to the challenge

Siwale expressed excitement about the prospect of facing some of the best clubs on the continent, saying: “It’s an interesting draw, and we’re looking forward to the challenge. ZESCO United is among the best teams in Africa, and we need to prove it on the pitch.”

The nine-time Zambian champions have set their target high, aiming to progress to the last eight of the competition.

“We’ve achieved our initial goal of reaching the group stage, and now it’s time to shift our focus to the quarterfinals,” added Siwale.

ZESCO United will kick off their campaign in Group D with Match Day one scheduled between November 21st and 23rd, 2025.

The team is ready to take on the challenge and make their mark in African football.
