Asante Kotoko midfielder Seth Kwadwo has urged patience for compatriot Morifing Donzo as the striker struggles to find his scoring boots.
The Guinean import has fired blanks in five Ghana Premier League games under experienced coach Karim Zito with the club’s fans asking questions about the qualities of the attacker.
The 27-year-old is deemed as the perfect replacement for Albert Amoah who left to join Libyan outfit, Al Ahly Benghazi hours after Kotoko’s 5-1 loss to Wydad Athletic in the second leg CAF Confederation Cup in Casablanca.
Seth Kwadwo, who scored his debut goal in Kotoko 4-2 drubbing of Karela United in the week eight fixture, believes that with time and patience, the bulky Donzo will come good.
“Morifing Donzo is a good footballer but he is with the language barrier but we have spoken to him and he is gradually understanding the players,” Seth Kwadwo said.
“I am pleading with the fans to be patient with him and in the next few days to come we shall see Morifing Donzo at the top.”
Asante Kotoko have collected 11 points from five matches with three outstanding fixtures to clear. The two time African champions will travel down south as guests of Hearts of Oak in a week nine fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
