Kenya friendlies schedule adjusted, to face Senegal in Turkey

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) have adjusted friendly matches for Kenya national team Harambee Stars during the November FIFA international break.

After securing friendly matches against Comoros and Madagascar, FKF have confirmed new changes. Kenya will now face Equatorial Guinea and Senegal, replacing the initially planned matches against Madagascar and Comoros.

Kenya will open their campaign against Equatorial Guinea on November 14 at 18:00 at the Emir Complex, before taking on Senegal on November 18 at 18:00 at the Mardan Stadium.

McCarthy rings changes to travelling squad

Meanwhile, Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy McCarthy has made changes to his initial squad, with Kevin Otiende (Nairobi United), Bryton Onyona (Gor Mahia), and Shariff Musa (Gor Mahia) receiving call-ups to the national team. The trio replaces Manzur, Adam Wilson, and Vincent Harper, who have been ruled out of the fixtures.

The team is set to report for local camp on Sunday November 9, and will jet out on Wednesday, November 12. The friendly matches will provide the Stars with a vital opportunity to test their strength against high-ranking opponents, fine-tune tactical approaches and build cohesion ahead of upcoming competitive engagements.

Midfielders; Alpha Onyango (Gor Mahia), Duke Abuya (Yanga), Timothy Ouma (Lech Poznań), Marvin Nabwire (Kenya Police FC).

Strikers; Austine Odhiambo (Gor Mahia), William Lenkupae (VPS), Job Ochieng (Real Sociedad), Boniface Muchiri (Ulinzi Stars), Aldrine Kibet (Celta Vigo), Ovellah Ochieng (Nairobi United), Jonah Ayunga (ST Mirren), Ryan Ogam (Wolfsberger), Lawrence Okoth (SJK Seinajoki), Sharif Musa (Gor Mahia).
