Al Ahly were crowned champions of the Egyptian Super Cup of Champions after defeating their arch-rivals Zamalek 2-0 in the final held at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE.
The Red Devils secured their 16th Super Cup title thanks to goals from Achraf Bencharki and Marwan Attia in each half.
The breakthrough came in the 44th minute, when Ahmed Zizo delivered a precise cross that found Bencharki, who controlled the ball before firing a low, smart shot past Mohamed Awad, giving Al Ahly a 1-0 lead before halftime.
In the second half, Tahir Mohamed Taher made a brilliant run down the left flank and sent in a dangerous cross that reached Marwan Attia, who slotted the ball into the net in the 72nd minute to double the advantage.
Al Ahly sealed a 2-0 victory over Zamalek, lifting the Egyptian Super Cup trophy once again and extending their record number of titles in the competition.
