Egypt national team star ruled out of November camp due to injury

Egypt national team director Ibrahim Hassan has confirmed that Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet has been ruled out of the team’s November training camp due to injury.

The Al Ahly winger picked up the injury while featuring for his team in their 2-0 victory over Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup final on Sunday.

Ibrahim Hassan explained that Trezeguet underwent medical tests after the match, which revealed that he would not be fit in time to join the national team’s camp scheduled during the FIFA international window from November 10 to 18.

Egypt national team will take part in a friendly international tournament this month in the UAE, featuring Uzbekistan, Cape Verde, and Iran.

The Pharaohs will face Uzbekistan on November 14 at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, before playing a second match in the UAE International Tournament on either November 17 or 18, against Iran or Cape Verde.

Egypt recently called up Taher Mohamed Taher and Nabil Dunga, following injuries to Ibrahim Adel and Mohannad Lashin.
