Comoros, Madagascar, and Zimbabwe managed to get big wins in international friendly games on Monday. Comoros ran riot against Namibia, while Mozambique forced a late draw against Chad.
Comoros were too good for Namibia as they scored four unanswered goals. Saudi-based midfielder Youssuf M’Changama opened the scoring, with Benjaloud Youssuf doubling the lead in the first half. Aymeric Ahmed and Ben El-Fardou scored the other goals in the second interval to hand Comoros a big victory at home.

Madagascar scored twice in the space of two minutes as they defeated Equatorial Guinea 2–0 in Turkey. The African World Series game saw Johan N’Zi break the deadlock with a powerful strike from range after the hour mark. Eshan Kari doubled the lead with a simple finish after quick thinking from the Malagasy players when taking a free kick.
Chad and Mozambique played out a 2–2 draw in the other African World Series encounter. Marius Mouandilmadji struck for the Sao’s at the stroke of halftime, but Mozambique equalized through Geny Catamo from the spot. Chad retook the lead in the 90th minute with a penalty kick from Mahamat Thiam. However, Lebanon-based winger Gildo headed home deep into stoppage time as Mozambique forced a draw.
Zimbabwe came from behind to beat World Cup-bound Qatar 2–1 in Doha. The hosts went ahead nine minutes into the tie with Mohamad Gouda scoring the goal. Munashe Garananga headed home from a corner to restore parity for the Warriors in the first half. Bill Antonio’s surprising goal from a tight angle handed the Southern African nation a crucial morale-boosting win ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
