The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 13 concluded on Monday with major shifts in the league table as Ikorodu City FC victory over Plateau United saw them move top of the log after Nasarawa United were held to a one 1-1 draw by Kun Khalifat.
Matchday 13 kicked off in Saturday with the battle for survival in the relegation zone where 19th places Bendel Insurance emerged 3-2 winners against 20th placed Kano Pillars at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
Heading into Sunday Wiki Tourist extended their unbeaten run when Abubakar Aliyu Mane strike earned them a 1-0 triumph against Enyimba International away from home at the Enyimba Stadium. The defeat means the people Elephant have now lost 4 out of their last 6 games.
NPFL only CAF Champions League representative, Rivers United continued their pursuit for glory in all front as goals from Emmanuel Nnaji and Samson Obi canceled out Ademola Adebambo goal for newly promoted Warri Wolves, ending the closely contested encounter 2-1 in favour of the Pride of Rivers.
Over in Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Ikorodu City early second half goals from Joseph Arumala and substitute Alade Balogun stood strong for the Oga boys to earn them a 2-1 victory over Plateau United.
Rounding up matchday 13 at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano on Monday NPFL debutants Barau FC convincingly won Enugu Rangers 2-0 with goals from Muhd Umar in the first half and a second half goal by Joseph Kemin, secured the Maliya Boys their third victory of the season.
Meanwhile Shooting Stars SC match against current NPFL champions Remo Stars scheduled to be played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan was postponed.
