Medeama SC will look to keep the top spot in the Ghana Premier League when they host Bechem United at the Tarkwa TnA Park on Saturday.
The Mauve and Yellow sit on top of the log with 21 points, same as Heart of Lions after ten matches into the current campaign.
Head coach of Medeama Ibrahim Tanko has set a target of beating Bechem United in their week 11 fixtures.
“I think we are playing at home and we will like to control the game, to score goals so definitely we are determined to do that and I know it is not going to be easy because Bechem United is a very good side, they have a new coach now, the players are well motivated but playing at home we will take the three points,” Ibrahim Tanko told MEDi TV.
The former Ghana international expressed confidence in winning the Ghana Premier League title, citing the need to win all home matches at all costs.
“Medeama is playing the league to win it [and] definitely if you want to win the league you have to win especially your home matches [and] I am sure the boys are ready to do it.”
The week 11 matches of the Ghana Premier League kicks off on Saturday and some top liners on Sunday including the battle between former champions Aduana FC and Berekum Chelsea at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
Asante Kotoko, who are yet to lose a game, are away to Samartex on Sunday with Nations FC hosting reigning champions Gold Stars at the Dr. Kyei Complex in Kumasi.
