Hearts of Oak are on the road to Young Apostles for their week 11 Ghana Premier League fixture on Sunday, November 23, a game they desire all three points to help keep the top four chase intact.
The Phobians have struggled to find the back of the net, managing just two goals in their last three matches – beating Holy Stars 2-1 before a 1-0 home loss to rivals Asante Kotoko and a goalless draw at All Blacks.
Ahead of their trip to Young Apostles, head coach of Hearts of Oak, Mas Ud Didi Dramani has affirmed players’ commitment and readiness to take the game by storm.
“We created some chances in the last match [against Swedru All Blacks] and should have scored at least two goals.
“This week we have worked so well. Players’ eagerness and desire are really high. We will embark on the trip tomorrow, and we will play to win,” Didi Dramani told Hearts TV.
Hearts of Oak left-back, Ransford Mensah shared thoughts on their last game against All Black Blacks and the need to attach seriousness to the next fixture.
“Our last game against All Blacks, we were expecting to win that game, but we did not take our chances. We dominated the game, and we had to score. Everybody was worried after the game for not getting the three points.
“For now, we are well prepared. We are heading towards the game against Young Apostles. This match is very important for us. I’m very sure that we are going to bring back the points,” Mensah told Hearts TV.
Hearts of Oak have collected 17 points from 10 matches and sit seventh on the league table. The week 11 matches begin on Saturday where joint leaders Medeama SC will host Bechem United at the Tarkwa TnA Park.
