Bundesliga: Tapsoba and Jackson on target

African stars shone on Matchday 11 of the Bundesliga as Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen earned big wins. Nicolas Jackson and Edmond Tapsoba were on target for their respective clubs during the round.

Senegal striker Jackson struck his second goal of the season as reigning champions Bayern Munich thrashed Freiburg 6-2. The Bavarian side came from two goals down to secure a big win. Jackson scored in the second half after being set up by Michael Olise. Jackson also bagged a brace against Kenya in a friendly game for the Teranga Lions during the week.

Burkina Faso international Tapsoba scored against Wolfsburg as Bayer Leverkusen registered a 3-1 victory.

The center-back struck the second goal in the 24th minute after German attacker Jonas Hofmann opened the scoring early. The Werkself were untouchable during the half as they went 3-0 up inside 33 minutes. Tapsoba, 26, is enjoying a fine season at the Bundesliga outfit, having bagged three goals so far.

Bayern Munich continue to lead the Bundesliga table with 31 points, while Bayer Leverkusen are second with 23 points.
