Experienced Ghanaian coach Augustine Evans Adotey has unceremoniously left his role as the head trainer of Premier League club Basake Holy Stars.
The former Medeama SC coach went AWOL after Holy Stars lost 2-1 at home to giants Hearts of Oak in week eight. The club has since recorded a win and two losses under the guidance of assistant coach Rashad Musah.
Holy Stars have made a horrible start to the 2025/26 season, recording just a win, three draws and six losses in the current Ghana Premier League campaign.
They will prepare for their week three outstanding fixture against Asante Kotoko on Wednesday at home, and assistant coach Rashad Musah shared some words ahead of the game.
“We are approaching the game just like we approached the last three matches that we played. We played well against Gold Stars, Karela United and Vision FC, even though we didn’t get the nine points that we wanted,” Rashad Musah told Holy Stars TV.
“But we still have to approach the game like the last three games that we have played, and then we shall see what happens after ninety minutes on Wednesday.”
Holy Stars currently sit in 17th on the league table with six points from 10 matches, five points away from safety.
