Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reiterated that he’s feeling great even at 36 years after leading French League 1 side, Marseille to victory in the UEFA champions League on Tuesday.

The Gabonese international pulled two goals for Marseille as they went 1-0 down at home to English Premier League club Newcastle United, to secure their second win in the tournament.

Reacting after the game during an interview, Aubameyang said he has no plans of slowing down yet.

“I’m very happy to be here at this club to enjoy moments like tonight. It was a great game. We started a bit sloppily, but we reacted well.

I’m feeling great, even if I’m 36. When you play these types of games, you want to play more and score more.

It was very important, especially at home and for the fans. If we want to go through, then we have to win games.”

This is Marseille first win against an English Premier League team since 2010, and the victory puts the French side in 19th position in the UEFA champions League.
