Ezzalzouli and Haller shine as Real Betis edge Utrecht in Europa League League phase

African stars Abdessamad Ezzalzouli and Sébastien Haller delivered standout performances as Spanish side Real Betis claimed a 2–1 victory over Dutch side Utrecht on Matchday 5 of the Europa League league phase.

The Moroccan player, Ezzalzouli, scored Betis’ decisive second goal in the 50th minute with a strike from outside the penalty area, guiding his team to an important win.

On the other side, the Ivorian striker Haller was influential for Utrecht and provided the assist for his team’s only goal of the match.

Ezzalzouli’s goal takes his tally to two goals in the Europa League this season.

The victory lifts Real Betis to 11 points, placing them 5th in the League phase standings, while Utrecht remain on just 1 point, sitting 32nd in the table.
