The week 12 of the Ghana Premier League will witness a blockbuster fixture between reigning champions Gold Stars and two time winners Aduana FC on Sunday at the Duns Park.
GoldStars currently sit fifth on the league table with 19 points and Aduana FC lead the ladder on 23 points, one better than Heart of Lions and Medeama SC from 11 matches played in the current campaign.
Aduana travel to Bibiani on a seven-match unbeaten run with an aim of keeping the top spot and head coach of the club, Cioaba Aristica has reacted to the epic encounter.
“As you see, what happened is not about waiting to stay in the first position. It’s waiting for our team to improve game by game, play better than the last game. This is the first plan.
“But we already have our goal in this game, and we will fight in the game and come back with a positive result.”
The league leaders have also won three of their last six meetings with Gold Stars, including a 2-0 triumph eight months ago.
The “Fire Boys” have recorded seven wins, two draws and two losses with 23 points sitting on top of the Ghana Premier League table. Aduana last won the Ghana Premier League in 2017, their second title after clinching the 2010 edition.
