Hearts of Oak have a busy week ahead as they turn attention to the MTN FA Cup round of 64 against lower tier side, True Life F.C on Wednesday.
The Phobians, who defeated Vision 1-0 in the week 12 Ghana Premier League fixture at the Legon Sports Stadium last Sunday, will host True Life FC at the Kpobiman Complex astroturf.
Speaking ahead of the game, head coach of Hearts of Oak, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani stressed the need to fight for every competition in the domestic league.
“We said we were ready to compete for every trophy at stake, so the FA Cup is just one of those trophies available for contest so we take very serious to this game and that is why some players were reserved and packaged to have good reserves because it’s a very neutral week where you have three games within some short time,” He told Hearts TV.
“Karela is just at the weekend, and we are travelling to my hometown (Tamale), so we need to deload players.”
Hearts of Oak have not won the competition since they last did in 2022 under former coach Samuel Boadu who currently handles Berekum Chelsea.
Hearts of Oak’s shift to the Kpobiman Complex is a significant boost for the club as the fans will once again have a feel of real home advantage.
The record FA Cup holders have previously hosted Nania FC where they suffered elimination against the Division One League side.
Hearts have previously played at the Accra and University of Ghana Stadia in the Ghana Premier League.
