Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed the availability of African players Amad Diallo, Bryan Mbeumo and Noussair Mazraoui ahead of the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
His comments came just a day after world governing body FIFA confirmed a rule change on the call-up dates for players competing in the AFCON.
According to the latest decision, the release date for the players was moved back to a week after the original deadline, with the tournament due to kick off in Morocco six days later.
Speaking ahead of their Monday visit to face Wolves, Amorim was asked about the situation of Amad Diallo, Bryan Mbeumo and Noussair Mazraoui ahead of the 35th edition of the CAF tournament.
“No, with everything,” he replied to the question as quoted by Man United website. “They are going to play the next game [at Molineux] and that is the only thing I care [about].”
Diallo is set to represent Ivory Coast in the AFCON, while Mazraoui will feature for hosts Morocco, and Mbeumo turn out for Cameroon.
United welcome Bournemouth to Old Trafford on Monday December 15, before a trip to Aston Villa on December 21, the day AFCON begins. The competition is not due to end until January 18.
