Swedru All Blacks have come out of their shells in their last four Ghana Premier League matches, going unbeaten under Egyptian coach, Ahmed Fathi.
The Premier League returnees defeated Eleven Wonders 2-0 at the Legon Sports Stadium in their week 13 fixture on Friday, a result that pushed them farther away from the drop zone.
Prior to defeating the struggling Eleven Wonders, All Blacks had recorded two goalless home draws against Young Apostles and Hearts of Oak, beating Dreams fc 3-2 in between those two results.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Ahmed Fathi made assurance of building a formidable team that is capable of making a good impact in the domestic top flight.
“I want to thank the president for his understanding of the team to improve step by step. I hope step by step we can climb the table.
“We are working as hard as we can to get good results,” the Swedru All Blacks coach said.
All Blacks have collected eight points from their last four games, moving into fourth on the league standings in the interim, awaiting the results from the remaining weekend’s fixtures.
The head coach of Eleven Wonders, Emmanuel Aidoo, was full of praise for his players on Friday, despite their 2-0 defeat to Swedru All Blacks.
Emmanuel Aidoo hails Eleven Wonders players despite loss: “We did our best. The boys didn’t play badly at all. We lost, and the football gods have spoken, and that’s it,” coach Aidoo said.
“We are on a mission to escape relegation and irrespective of the fact that we lost, it’s not ended. We are still on the same mission. We are going to the drawing board to prepare for the next game.”
The defeat to Swedru All Blacks leaves Eleven Wonders bottom of the Ghana Premier League standings with just six points. All Blacks, on the other hand, have moved to 10th on the league standings temporarily, after extending their unbeaten run to four matches.
