Bandari FC fire coach Mohammed Borji after two months

Kenyan Premier League side Bandari FC have fired head coach Mohammed Borji following a string of poor results in the FKF Premier League.

The Moroccan tactician, who arrived to replace Ken Odhiambo, was dismissed alongside his assistant Tarik Bendamou — barely two months after their grand arrival.

In a statement, Bandari CEO Tony Kibwana said: “Bandari FC announces that the club has parted ways with Head Coach Mohamed Borji and his assistant Tarik Bendamou, effective immediately.

“This decision follows a review of the team’s technical direction as the club focuses on re-strategising its performance. We thank Coach Borji and Tarik for their contributions during their time at the club.”

The statement added: “The club will, in the coming days, announce new technical arrangements. In the meantime, coach Razak Siwa will oversee the upcoming match.”

The Mombasa-based club are currently lying 14th on the 18-team Premier League table with 12 points from 11 matches. They have managed two wins, six draws, and suffered three defeats.

Borji led the Dockers since October 7 playing a total of eight top-flight matches winning only one against Sofapaka, registering five draws, and two defeats.
