Bashiru eyes Hohoe United’s third straight victory at Chelsea

Hohoe United head coach, Tijani Abdul Bashiru, has reacted to the club’s current form, that has culminated in two straight wins in the Ghana Premier League.

The new boys pulled two shocking results in weeks 12 and 13, travelling to beat Bechem United 2-1 before stunning giants Asante Kotoko 1-0 last weekend at the Hohoe Stadium.

The two consecutive victories have boosted the confidence of head coach, Tijani Abdul Bashiru who has shared this opinion ahead of their week 14 fixture away to Berekum Chelsea.

Hohoe United Shocked Giants Asante Kotoko Last Week

“We really worked hard for those two victories and we deserve it. We prepared for it and we got it [and] that’s exactly what we are going to continue to do in our next game against Berekum Chelsea,” Tijani Bashiru told Hohoe United TV.

“Everybody who knows Berekum Chelsea especially when they are playing at home, they are a different team and you can’t say because they lost against Medeama [so] we are going to beat them in their home.

“We have to go and work and we have to go and fight for it and we are going to fight for it and we will get there and we will bring a decent result at the end of the day.

Hohoe United have been dealt a blow as midfielder Sena Ati will not travel with the team to the Golden City Park for the game after picking an injury in the 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko last week. Hohoe United’s performance has seen drift steps away from the drop zone, sitting in 9th on 17 points from 13 matches.

The Ghana Premier League matchday 14 fixture between Bibiani Gold Stars and Medeama has been postponed following Medeama’s release of five players to the domestic-based Ghana national team for their international friendly against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on December 16.
