Rwanda giants Rayon Sports have turned the page on their coaching setup by appointing Ferry as their new head coach.
The 58-year-old tactician is set to arrive in Kigali on Friday, December 19, and will be officially unveiled by the club.
Ferry takes over from Lotfi Afahmia, who was relieved of his duties in November following a series of poor results in the Rwanda Premier League and an early exit from the CAF Confederation Cup.
With a wealth of experience across African football, Ferry has previously managed top clubs including Accra Lions in Ghana, Eding Sport in Cameroon, AS Dakar Sacré-Cœur in Senegal, Azam FC in Tanzania, and DR Congo’s AS Vita Club.
He will, however, observe his new team from the stands as Rayon Sports face Gorilla FC at Kigali Pele Stadium on his first day in charge, December 19.
The club hopes Ferry’s appointment will reinvigorate their campaign and steer them back to the top of Rwandan football.
