The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) officially gets underway on Sunday evening, as hosts Morocco face Comoros in the opening match of the tournament.
The highly anticipated fixture will be played at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 PM GMT, marking the start of Africa’s biggest football competition.
Morocco and Comoros are placed in Group A alongside Mali and Zambia. The tournament will be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18, featuring the continent’s top national teams as they compete for African glory.
