Head coach of Eleven Wonders, Emmanuel Aidoo, is dismayed by his side’s 2-0 loss at home to giants Asante Kotoko in match day 15 of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.
Eleven Wonders suffered an early setback in the first half when Kotoko’s Peter Amidu Acquah scrambled his way through their penalty area before blasting the opener past the goalkeeper in the 17th minute.
Kotoko substitute, Johnson Owusu, nailed Eleven Wonders coffin after rounding off Wonders’ keeper before scooping the ball into the yawning net for the second goal in added time.
Emmanuel Aiddo said: “At the end of the day we lost and you can’t praise a team that has lost, well I think they did what they are supposed to do right from the beginning we did not have the chance to warm due to one or two things that’s our problem,” Emmanuel Aidoo said after the game.
“But the second half we came [and] committed some silly mistakes which resulted in the second goal. We’ve been trying to do our best but maybe it’s not enough so we need to work more, that is all.”
The defeat left Eleven Wonders rooted at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table with 6 points from 15 matches, a position that makes survival increasingly difficult.
