Aduana FC’s quest to return to the top of the league table will be put to a stern test when they travel to Young Apostles in week 16 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The two time-Ghana champions sit second on the standings with 28 points from 15 games, level on points with the oldest club Hearts of Oak who squeezed a 1-0 home win against Samartex in their penultimate first round fixture at the Legon Sports Stadium on Friday.
Ahead of the journey to Young Apostles in Wenchi, Cioaba Aristica indicated that his team will fight for a win to reclaim the top spot.
“The players are motivated. There are just a few points separating the teams at the top, so if you lose, you can go down.
“The game against Young Apostles, my players understand what is at stake. It is the last game for this year, so let’s finish this year with a happy and good result,” Aristica Cioaba told Aduana FC TV.
The Week 16 league fixture between Young Apostles and Aduana FC will kick off at 3 pm at Wenchi Sports Stadium. A win for Aduana FC will take them back to the top of the Ghana Premier League table at the end of the matchday.
