Excitement continues at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, taking place from December 21 to January 18, as the tournament reaches the final and decisive round of the group stage.
Today marks the conclusion of Matchday Three, with teams from Group E and Group F playing their final group-stage matches as they battle for the remaining places in the knockout rounds.
The group stage in Groups A, B, C, and D has already been completed, with Morocco, Mali, Egypt, South Africa, Tunisia, Nigeria, Senegal, and DR Congo securing qualification to the Round of 16.
Three teams had already confirmed qualification before the final round: Egypt, Nigeria, and Algeria, reflecting their consistent results throughout the tournament.
A total of four decisive matches will be played today, featuring Algeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon, Burkina Faso, alongside Sudan, Equatorial Guinea, and Mozambique.
